SensAble Kids serves infants to young adults with developmental, physical, emotional, and learning delays. We offer occupational, speech, and developmental therapies in our Chicago clinic and community settings near Orland Park, Oak Lawn, and Tinley Park.
Our pediatric occupational, speech and MNRI therapists believe in meeting each child at their developmental level to build a relationship with the child and help to develop their communication and relational abilities.
We believe one cannot separate emotional development from the physical development of the body, that they must be addressed simultaneously for true growth and optimal development.
We combine our understanding of the body and all of its systems with a relationship based model to create a comprehensive, personalized plan for each individual and their family.

SensAble Kids is a boutique clinic located in Chicago, providing an intimate and individualized experience for our families. We strive to give our parents and caregivers the tools and resources they need to better understand their child and the skills and strength to support them as they grow.

This is Donohoe Pediatrics. A unique, concierge-style, direct primary practice that provides top notch care in a way that meets the needs of Chicago’s busy children and families.
In 2016, Dr. Chris Donohoe was the sole pediatrician while his wife Joy managed the practice. Within five years, the team has expanded to include three pediatricians, a mental and behavioral health specialist, and a lactation consultant.

How is Donohoe Pediatrics different from other pediatric practices?
They work for families. Not for insurance companies or employers or big hospital systems. This means newborn care in the comfort of your home, unrushed visits, direct access to your child’s pediatrician, and a team of caring doctors and staff who know your child.
Collaborating with pediatric specialists and therapists in the community (including SensAble Kids!) gives the families at Donohoe Pediatric families the integrative tools necessary to treat the “whole” child. This preventative approach has allowed their doctors to flag a patient’s developmental needs during routine health visits, consult parents in need of community resources, and connect them with specialists outside the doctor’s office (e.g. OT, Speech, Developmental Play Therapy).
Here is how it works:
Patients join the practice by paying a one-time family registration charge followed by a monthly, per-child membership fee. The monthly fee varies by the age of the child.
